The Simple Crew — Privacy Policy

What this app is

The Simple Crew is a company-issued work app for roofing crews. You do not sign yourself up. Your employer adds you in their JobNimbus account, and you sign in with your phone number and a one-time code.

Everything you record in the app — check-ins, photos, checklists, messages — belongs to your employer's job records. Your employer can see it.

What we collect

• Your identity at work: the name and phone number your employer entered, and the one-time codes used to sign you in.
• Check-ins: when you check in to a job, we record the time and your device's location at that moment, to show where and when work happened.
• Photos: pictures you take in the app or attach from your photo library, together with the job they belong to.
• Work you enter: checklist answers, walk-around reports, and messages you send.
• Basic technical data needed to run the service, such as your app version and error information when something fails.

We do not track your location in the background, and we do not follow you when the app is closed. Location is read when you check in or open directions.

What we don't do

• No advertising, and no ad networks.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. The app ships with none.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who your information reaches

• Your employer — the company that issued you the app. They see your work records.
• Supabase — our hosting and database provider, which stores the data on our behalf.
• JobNimbus — your employer's job-management system, which the app reads work orders from and writes job activity back to, under your employer's own account.
• Legal requests — if the law requires it, or to protect safety or investigate fraud.

These providers act on our instructions. They are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: open Profile and choose “Delete my account”.

This removes your sign-in and your access to your company's jobs, and it cannot be undone. Work you already recorded — photos, check-ins and messages — stays with your employer's job records as their business record of work performed, but it is no longer attached to your name or identity.

Retention, security and children

We keep your information for as long as you use the app and for a reasonable period after, and we keep your employer's job records for as long as they require them.

We use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information we handle. Traffic between the app and our servers uses standard HTTPS encryption.

The Simple Crew is a workplace app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above.
